Italian Riviera

Italian Riviera
Once a simple fishing village, Portofino became synonymous with glamour when Hollywood royalty descended in the 1950’s and it hasn’t let up since. Today, even when the crowds descend in high season, the pastel colored fishermen’s houses that front the harbor are incredibly picturesque, particularly in the rich, late afternoon light. Further up the coast, the crowds thin but the coastline is just as beautiful, in the five villages of the Cinque Terre Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso, Riomaggiore and Vernazza.
